What is Mullerian Inhibiting substance analysis and how is it used for ovarian cancer testing?

Mullerian Inhibiting substance is an important substance that is necessary for normal male genital development. Mullerian Inhibiting substance receptors have been found in ovarian tissue. Current research is looking at its use as a tumor marker in ovarian cancer as well as a possible treatment in malignant ovarian cancer. This research is currently in its early phases.
